How Do Hippos Poop? You won’t believe the answer…

Hippos pooping

We’ve put together some fun facts and videos on one of the flashiest defecators, the Hippopotamus.

Hippos use defecation to mark their territory. To achieve maximum distribution they spin their tails and well…feces goes flying.

Another fun fecal fact about hippos! They are born with sterile intestines. What does this mean?

They can’t properly digest food so they need to obtain their mother’s poop bacteria to digest vegetation.

This hippo apparently never lost her taste for poop!

Now take a closer look…flying feces in slow motion!
